Outlook on a phone or tablet
Use this guide for the Microsoft Outlook app on an iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Step by step
Follow these steps
Open Outlook’s settings
Open the Outlook app. Tap your profile picture at the top left, then tap the gear-shaped Settings button.
Add an email account
Under Mail Accounts, tap Add Mail Account, then Add Email Account. On some iPhones, the buttons are Accounts, Add Account, then Email Account.
Type your business email address
Enter the complete address we gave you. Tap Sign In or Add Account.
Choose IMAP
If Outlook asks which provider to use, tap IMAP. If it guessed the wrong provider, tap Not a … account, then choose IMAP.
Show the extra settings
Enter your email password. Open Advanced Settings, or turn on Use Advanced Settings if that switch appears.
Fill in the incoming-mail section
Use fusion.mxrouting.net. The username is your full email address. The password is your email password. Use port 993 and SSL/TLS if those options appear.

Use the same server name, fusion.mxrouting.net, full email address and email password. Use port 465 and SSL/TLS if those options appear.

Enter fusion.mxrouting.net:993 for the incoming server and fusion.mxrouting.net:465 for the outgoing server. Do not add spaces.

Tap Sign In and follow the remaining prompts. Send an email to another account you can open, then reply to check your new inbox.

Helpful notes
Keep in mind
Password fields are separate
Fill both the IMAP and SMTP password fields. The outgoing password is the same mailbox password, even when the app shows a second box.
Mail only
An IMAP account synchronizes email, not your calendar or contacts.
Microsoft cloud synchronization
Outlook can synchronize a copy of your IMAP mail with Microsoft’s cloud. Review the account-sync prompt and Microsoft’s explanation below before continuing.
