Something not working?

Try these simple checks. If you get stuck, call us at (224)935-5772.

Step by step

Start here

1

Try opening your email on the web

Choose Read email on the web below and follow that guide. If it works on the website but not in your app, your email address and password are working.

2

Check the email address

Use the entire address, including the @ sign and everything after it. Check for typing mistakes or an extra space at either end.

3

Check the email password

Use the password for this email account. It may be different from your website or Google password. If you do not have it, call us for help.

4

Can you receive email but not send it?

Open your app’s outgoing-mail settings. Enter your full email address and email password there too, and turn on sign-in. The outgoing section needs its own login details.

5

Does the screen mention a certificate?

Do not choose an option to ignore the warning or turn security off. Call us and tell us the exact message on the screen.

6

Still stuck? Call us

Call (224) 935-5772. Tell us whether you are on a phone or computer, which app you opened, and what the screen says. Do not delete your email account or messages to try to fix it.

Helpful notes

Keep in mind

Recently changed your password?

Update both incoming and outgoing saved passwords in each app. An app may store them separately.

Avoid repeated login attempts

If the same credentials keep failing, stop and check webmail or contact us instead of repeatedly retrying.

Do not delete accounts to troubleshoot

Removing an account can remove local data. Ask for help before deleting accounts, profiles or local mail folders.
